Mann Hann

Mann Hann was derived from an ancient Chinese legend that the owners love to tell their children. The romance involved Mann or Manchurian and a descendant from an old Han Dynasty and how the emperor's opulence showed when entertaining foreign dignitaries by ordering “Mann Hann” Menu which consist of 200 delectable varieties. These feasts usually took them weeks to consume. Nobody knows for sure how the story ended but somehow synonymous with authentic Chinese Cuisine

Me and Lhuvz during our day off, we decided to take a break from chaotic work and eat somewhere we missed

Face reader- ninsō uranai

Sir yuji hamai, one of our most irrate japanese  guests approached me one time. He always had something to complain about, so i braced myself for his complaint. All smiles, he suddenly told me, 'you are from quezon, lucena'.
I was overly surprised, and asked him 'how come you know sir?'
It shows, from your face', he answered smilingly and walked out.
From that time, he always smiles whenever he heads to the frontdesk, unlike before.
(he has got no fb and definitely no infos about us all, iv researched abt face reading and found out that there's only one in a million face reader nowadays. I shouldve asked him if il still become a doctor)

Face reading has been used for millennia in both the Eastern and Western civilizations. In the Western world it is called physiognomy while in China it is known as xiàng shu and in Japan as ninsō-uranai.Back to the ancient japan and korean empire, the emperors would hire divinitive person to know who the traitor is. This person is called a 'face reader'.

Team white: United Nations

More than (8) eight hours of overland journey with strangers is a typical setup for travelers. But what makes this one different from other trips is that it reminds me of the word sonder-n. the realization that each random passerby is living a life as vivid and complex as your own—populated with their own ambitions, friends, routines, worries and inherited craziness—an epic story that continues invisibly around you like an anthill sprawling deep underground, with elaborate passageways to thousands of other lives that you’ll never know existed, in which you might appear only once, as an extra sipping coffee in the background, as a blur of traffic passing on the highway, as a lighted window at dusk.
The whole journey was exasperating yet was a total fun from more than 3 stopovers to change of vehicles. There was the French guy who never stopped talking, the bald Chinese guy who fondly responds to his chitchats. The two Chinese ladies who were well, Chinese. The European lovebirds, the Indian who doesn't talk and the Japanese lady solo traveler who can't speak English.
From moc bai, the operators discovered that the Japanese lady lost her white tag sticker, they demanded she pay again or she needs to get off the van. Team white protested (our team lol) that she already paid her fare and she doesn't need to get off the van or pay again for losing a piece of sticker. It was a 20 minute debate with the operator and finally when he was already singled out he let her stay with us.
When the door closed everyone clapped hands and the Japanese lady was very thankful to everybody. When we've reached our destination, we all separated without knowing each other's names.

Slice

Slice is an American inspired restaurant/bakery owned by Senator Pia Cayetano. The last time we went there we were lucky to see Senator Pia conversing with someone.
The restaurant has a lot of mouth watering cupcakes and cakes to offer. Plus they have a healthy menu for health conscious diners.
Caesar salad with bits of tinapa (smoked fish). It's a new discovery for me, the bits of tinapa goes well with cheese.
Black squid ink pasta which never tasted like a squid. It was good anyway
Peanut butter Oreo cupcake for bday girls

Carpe Diem

Little do I know that hidden in the province of Agdangan Quezon is a enchanting beach still unknown to many. There are too many beautiful beaches considered a treasure to Philippines and Carpe Diem opened itself to public with a breathtaking and calmly atmosphere. A more literal translation of "Carpe diem" would thus be "enjoy the day" or "pluck the day [as it is ripe]"

From Lucena, there are several modes of transport: jeepneys, mini buses, and shuttle vans. Just after Pagbilao, before the zigzag road, the jeepney/bus/van will turn right to the Bondoc Peninsula way.

The resort despite the lack of other basic amenities has a very clean bathroom

The resonating orange of a fiery sunset reflected off the sea water in a perfectly impressionistic moment.
This is how the place looks at about 7 AM, as darkness gave way to predawn grey and cool blue

Outdoor Theatre, coldstone and food

Just literally came out  from supposed hiatus turned boring hibernation that I couldn't even remember the last time the idea of going out had gotten me so terribly excited. Indeed, i missed being surrounded by artsy cafes, bargains in quaint boutiques and the feeling of carefree exploring.
Hove into view was the big theatre screen free for everybody, an outdoor movie with my bestest friend.

Carte Blanche, I said to myself and once again I'm back to my appealing life, staying at home in front of  the laptop forgetting my beloved books was the daftest thing I've ever done in my life.
Another thing to be happy about, coldstone icecream,,, its the hottest and latest icecream craze.
What I miss the most, my smile
COLDSTONE
