Purin

On our way back home, I was stopped by customs at the airport. They had to inspect my belongings after the X-ray. Weird, They seized my 2 cream pudding and told me to leave it. The pudding is considered liquid and it exceeded the maximum liquid carry. They were from our Japanese friend and we didn't want to throw it. We asked the customs officer if we could just eat the stuffs. We were given a corner to eat the delicious pudding and the officer I bet was holding back her giggles watching us eat in a hurry while exclaiming how good the puddings are.

Itchy feet in Tsim Sha Tsui

For the first time in my life, I've enjoyed riding the MTR going around Kowloon instead of the usual taxi. It wasn't like Singapore's MTR where people rush all the time.
Going around TST is tiring, but do not be afraid to get lost.....
At the MTR we found a help line for assistance you can ask for directions. Unfortunately the one who answered had a Chinese accent we couldn't comprehend a thing she said.
You won't get lost inside, every wall has direction maps
Walking the streets of Golden Mile

I got served with Chicken Curry :)

Upon arrival, buy an octopus card at the airport express counter at the arrivals hall. You can use this card going around HK, you can even use it to pay for Mcdonald's and KFC meals. It will initially cost you HK$150 of which HK$50 is held as a deposit and is refundable when you return the card, you can add value (in HK$) at convenience stores such as 7 - 11 and Circle K and ALL MTR stations.  On your departure or last day at HK you  can return them at any MTR Station or the Airport Express Counter at the Airport and get back the HK$50 deposit and any remaining balance left on the card minus a HK$9 admin charge.

Like Metro card in New York, Octopus card is a reusable contactless stored value smart card for making electronic payments in online or offline systems in Hong Kong. Launched in September 1997 to collect fares for the territory's mass transit system, the Octopus card system is the second contactless smart card system in the world, after the Korean Upass, and has since grown into a widely used payment system for all public transport in Hong Kong, leading to the development of Oyster Card in London.

Hong Kong International Airport is well served by public bus routes, taking passengers to and from most parts of Hong Kong. Comfortable and relatively inexpensive, they offer a convenient transport option. All arrivals come into the Main Terminal Building's Arrival Hall. From there, after Customs, simply head straight ahead outside the airport where you'll see the Transportation Centre on the same level as the Arrival Hall. The location of various ground transportation services is given above.

The cheapest way from Hong Kong Airport to the city is via double decker public bus. Taxi fare from airport to Tsim Sha Tsui will cost about HKD 250 (USD 33.00) per way while taking the double decker public bus will only cost HKD 33 (USD 4.50) per person. We boarded the A21 bus to get to East Tsim Sha Tsui.
Upon arrival, we were very disappointed with our budget type room in Mirador Mansion. We had some rest and spent the whole afternoon strolling around TST in search for a better hotel.
The only thing I've appreciated in that budget type hotel room was the soft duvet and free WiFi and the hospitality of the Indonesian lady caretaker which at first glance we thought was a Filipina.

In Kowloon there’s an area called Tsim Sha Tsui. The area is also known as “Golden Mile” because here can be found the most expensive land in the world. On this “golden” ground is where the two famous buildings for backpackers and immigrants are. Housing a few hundreds of guesthouses, millions of backpackers from all around the world have lived here and characteristic of all of them is that the rooms are extremely small and each square centimeter is used in the most efficient way. We chose to stay at Mirador mansion, and though at the ground floor it could be seen that CCTV in each lift are installed, we still felt scared and unsafe. Dissatisfied, we went to Chung King Mansion to look for a better place to stay.

We entered the building and reached  a very shadowy floor without windows, no ventilation at all. There was not a crowd unlike other floors, but we still stepped out of the lift to look at the place. There were men playing cards and we asked if how much were the rooms on that floor. The guy who looked like the owner of the entire floor guided us into a locked room (He called someone to bring him the keys). My friend told me to stay at the door and never close it, but the door was really heavy so it automatically closed. I became nervous that when I tried to turn the doorknob my hands were all sweaty I couldn't open the door. I looked at my friend and she was also stricken with panic. When I finally opened the door there was another guy who entered the guesthouse. I looked at my friend and she signaled me to just stay outside the door. I remained in front of the open door while my friend went inside to look at the rooms. I was able to see from my spot one room, and to my surprise it was cozy and nice overlooking the side of the Holiday Inn. The owner offered it for a very looowww price, we felt very suspicious so we just told them we'll just get back to them. We hurried back to the elevator looking as white as a sheet. What a relief it was when we finally got out from the building, but still we was extremely devastated.

in my euphoria, hello kitty is everywhere in stores and foodchains

My favorite pink top
Walking all day long

K-11, there are benches around you could sit on all day and enjoy the fast and reliable free Wi-Fi
Hello Kitty cup noodles! I was very fond of it we bought 20 cups!
Holiday Inn is just beside the Chung King Mansion, we also inquired for their room rates and they honestly informed us that they charge very high for walk-in guests. Since the area Golden Mile is expensive, expect Holiday Inn here to be expensive as well.
