Oody's Thai Bar and Restaurant

It's been a year since I've last eaten at Oody's. This place was where I've spent my bday celeb during 2nd year college with my friends as suggested by Rosephil 'pigeonfoot'. She had her on the job training here before as part of our hrm subject, and she gladly recommended this resto as the foods are exquisite and the chef as said by her is Thai so the foods are guaranteed a traditional Thai taste. Since then, me and my friends have always craved to dine here but due to erratic schedules a year has passed and Oody's has long been forgotten.

Yeey! It's Vampi's Bday

Everyone loves Pad Thai

A dish of stir-fried pho noodles, a type of rice noodle, with eggs, fish sauce (Thai:น้ำปลา), tamarind juice, red chili pepper, plus any combination of bean sprouts, shrimp, chicken, hot dogs,[1][2] or tofu, garnished with crushed peanuts, coriander and lime, the juice of which can be added along with Thai condiments (crushed peanuts, garlic, tomato, chives, pickled turnip, coriander, lime, spicy chili oil, chili powder, vinegar, fish sauce, sugar). It is usually served with scallions and pieces of raw banana flower.

It is listed at number 5 on World's 50 most delicious foods readers' poll compiled by CNN Go in 2011.
The presentation looks good, the food is authentic and can definitely satisfy your palate. The jasmine rice smelled so good and the ambiance was so relaxed I bet it would be nice to eat here during the morning to start the day with a good vibe.

However during my past visits...
Continental Breakfast
It's appetizing to eat with fresh tomatoes and cucumber on the sides. I've mistakenly ordered this as I've thought this is for sharing and I was with my friend lubba. The waitress did not specify what this set consists of, I didn't like the hotdog as it tasted cheap and the ham was lousy and the sunny side-up was well done. I always like my sunny side up served runny and bubbly and this made me so disappointed they didn't even ask how I like my egg done.

Fried Chicken with lemongrass
The chicken is tasty but it feels like eating coconut hair lol, more like a Vietnamese flavor. This is supposed to be served with something like a sweet and sour sauce but I didn't get any :(
Singaporean Pad Thai
I didn't expect Singaporean Pad Thai would taste like this, there was something in the thin noodles that made it taste awful plus the hotdogs I may say do not compliment the taste of the noodles
Our super favourite sticky rice with mango. The mango is not as good as the mango in Thailand but the sticky rice and coconut milk was superb. This desert is one you'd never forget, click here for more blogs about this dessert.

I think the tea is strongly brewed ceylon tea. The tea didn't match the foods I ordered.
Pad Thai again
This is lubba's favorite, very tasty and the chicken strips are juicy. I love the eggs and the tofu in it, the dish smells so good aswell.

Chicken Pandan
Chicken 'bones' covered in pandan leaf, lol

Brekky with Friends

It is always a good morning in Serendra a rendezvous for satiation and indulgence. Typical scene around would be residents with their dogs for an early morning walk and tourists or business people having to dine together for a business meeting, and us who just wants to hang around and have a hearty breakfast.

The Breakfast Scene
Perfect morning with friends, the air was fresh and cold and everything seemed peaceful.
My coffee to start my day.
I always want to have a sip of coffee any time of the day. Maybe because I am so like my dad who enjoys his day reading books while having coffee.
My favorite breakfast as always, bacon strips and runny sunny side up! My dad always cooks my breakfast,  I would never forget his mantra about breakfast as the most important meal of the day to keep you attentive and smart. From the word itself breakfast meaning to break the long fast you've been into the whole night.

Hmmmm Gelato

French Night @ Cafe Breton and Bizu

Strolling around the mall we saw this cafe that was very crowded, curios we decided to see if what was inside.

In french, breton means a native of Brittany- derived from Latin Britannia, a region in the north-west of France. The two most known dishes in this region are pancakes and gallettes served with cheese, sausages, mushrooms, bacons and eggs.
Their sausage was so hard to chew but 'twas juicy enough

The place was very small and there was not much space to move around, we ordered some sandwiches and stuff,  but weren't satisfied so as we walked out the resto what we had in mind was to have something sweet and Bizu was the answer at that monent for everything posh and sweet.

When Lufelyn returned, we decided to take her to Bizu, the place is indeed very relaxing outside. It is located alongside Greenbelt Gardens with cozy ambiance and hanging chandeliers that makes the place posh looking.
Hot and Fresh free starter bread
Night of celebration of our bestfriend Lufelyn's return :)
Bizu is known for their desserts and sweet cakes with excellent designs. Inside the resto is excellent decors and display of cakes one would be amazed to look at for their creative and superb look. The cakes are a little expensive but some are also on sale.
Bizu in French means kiss and in tagalog is beso-beso or cheek kissing which ladies usually do as a social gesture. So this place is definitely perfect for coffee time and hangouts usually for girlfriends and ladies.
I forgot the name, but this one is a baked rice pilaf with mushrooms. Though the food smells exquisite and the taste delectable, the mushrooms gave me a headache as they were so big and 'twas not cooked the right way.

Swagat

Busy Day at work and I couldn't think of anything to eat,  out of the blue I craved for an Indian food. I've heard from our Indian guests that an Indian resto is present nearby my workplace I've never been to the place as I don't usually go out but I've heard about this restaurant many times already. Swagat in Hindi language means 'welcome' it is owned by an Indian couple and they serve home-cooked meals especially cooked by the owner herself with an affordable price compared to other Indian restos. But since the ingredients are imported from India expect the food to be a little expensive and  in small servings.

I was ready to order Chicken Kadai but I absent mindedly ordered murgh tandoori instead as 'twas stuck in my mind. I wanted my chicken served spicy, but when it came I was a bit disappointed as it was not spicy nevertheless it still tasted great. I love the shrimps in my biryani rice, the rice is also very tasty but not that appealing as I'm used to eating plain rice. Besides it was not as yummy as shrimp biryani with raisins and almonds of Kashmir :P
I love naan cheese bread. But their naan is not as delicious as compared to Bollywood's.

Naan or Nan originally came from Central Asia, it is a leavened bread or oven baked flatbread, another well known kind of flatbread is chapati which is flatter than naan. Nan was a general term for various flatbreads from different parts of the world. The name stems from (new) Persian, itself from Sanskrit nayan; being a generic word for bread. The bread is usually served with curry dishes.

HALLMARK CAFE @ Hallmark Hotel
Breakfast was simple and very awesome! I even love the small cafe, the morning feeling of waking up in a different country at peace and I even like the cute cup and saucers they have plus they serve unlimited coffee. And one fact to know is Malaysian coffees are known to be strong with a aromatic superb taste.

Sausage and veggies, the veggie was great and it tasted so excellent
Pad thai and Fried rice with spices and nuts
I wasn't able to taste these because i was so full already, but it looked so undeniably appetizing

Can't believe I love the vegetable they serve.

Batu Cave

The Batu Caves are situated thirteen kilometers (seven miles) north of the capital city Kuala Lumpur. They are the sacred place for the Hindu's in Malaysia.
They consist of three main caves and a number of smaller ones. The caves are made of limestone and 400 meters long and 100 meter high and they were discovered in 1892.
Batu Cave is famous for having the largest golden statue of Lord Muruga
Nature scenery. Nature CAVE and Monkey and Pigeon
You have to climb 272 steps

Beware: though the monkeys are not harmless, don't show them a lot of foods or any drinks because they would all come to you to ask for the food. You would not want to be surrounded by monkeys and cause a riot.

Very Indian atmosphere
Every day there is a little celebration of a group of Hindus in the Batu Caves.
When you are lucky you can see a Indian Wedding Ceremony in one of the temples in the place.
