Aquanox Vietnamese Restaurant

Aquanox Vietnamese Restaurant
Serving authentic Vietnamese food, I have to say that you'd be amazed more with the restaurant's interior design than some of the food. But their menu is definitely worth a try paired with a cold beer.
Me wearing my Vietnamese top
Rice with coconut milk, steamed pork with garlic and i-don't-know-what toppings
I don't remember the name of this food, looks pleasing...sadly it did not fascinate my taste buds.

Creekside Amorsolo Hotel, a Green Hotel within a city

It's hard to catch city people in their in-between morning coffee and working lunch break at the office, but Creekside Amorsolo Hotel figured it's worth the try.

As you rush from one thing to the other, perhaps you might find yourselves Googling the best deals you can find on the net for some of the budget-friendly business hotels in the country, and in Makati-the financial capital and selfie capital of PH.

To cut tedious time and effort for you, let me introduce Creekside Amorsolo Hotel situated in the busy streets of Makati along Amorsolo cor. V.A. Rufino. This hotel is known as the hidden gem in Makati and the only 'Green Hotel' within the city.

CAH have taken the green initiative in helping preserve our environment in any way that they can. With that, they have launched the hotel as a GREEN HOTEL taking into consideration the guest's convenience. They are not imposing anything that would make our stay anything less than comfortable and hassle-free. Below are some of my hotel staycation in Amorsolo.

Mee Goreng noodles with Chicken

Mie goreng Indonesian: mie goreng or mi goreng; Malay: mee goreng or mi goreng; both meaning "fried noodles", also known as bami goreng, is a dish common in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore. It is made with thin yellow noodles fried in cooking oil with garlic, onion or shallots, fried prawn, chicken, pork, beef, or sliced bakso (meatballs), chili, Chinese cabbage, cabbages, tomatoes, egg, and other vegetables. Ubiquitous in Indonesia, it can be found everywhere in the country, sold by all food vendors from street-hawkers to high-end restaurants. It is an Indonesian one-dish meal favorite, although street food hawkers commonly sell it together with nasi goreng (fried rice). It is commonly available at mamak stalls in Singapore and Malaysia and is often spicy.
Consequently, this isn't famous in PH so when I got a pack of instant mee goreng noodles i decided to cook it the malay style.
Chinese cabbage and egg to add to its flavor
Special seasoning which can be bought in large commercial supermarkets

Sango The Burger Master

Sango which was located at the Ground Floor of Creekside Building in Makati had been my lunch and dinner bestfriend for years. Entering the resto would make you feel comfortable with the staff greeting you Irrashaimase and hearing pop Japanese songs played inside the resto. They started to be over pricey but to get a bigger market they eventually released a more affordable menu. Here are some of my favorites in Sango with their updated price.

Yakiniku Rice Burger 195.00
Marinated beef sandwiched with a crunchy toasted Japanese rice
Strawberry Corn Flake Shake 95.00

Master Cheese Burger 180.00 Sumo: 220.00
Chicken Burger with cheese 180.00 Sumo: 220.00
Fries 65.00
Master Fries 135.00

Chicken Karaage 225.00

Coffee Shake 95.00

My favourite and the star of sango menu Master Cheeseburger with beef, lettuce, tomato, loads of chopped white onions, cheese, and their incomparable special signature Sango meat sauce plus the Japanese Mayo.

Laid-back life in Tsuen Wan

Tsuen Wan is an area in New Territories which is considered more affordable than areas in Hong Kong Island or Kowloon. Since we couldn't find an affordable and at the same time comfortable and spacious accommodation in Tsim Sha Tsui, we resorted to booking in Silka Far East Hotel which was within walking distance from the Tsuen Wan MTR, City Landmark and other shopping malls, and commercial and recreation areas in the district. It is a value hotel that would pamper your needs but staying there would make you spend more on MTR transpo going to and from TST, though they have free scheduled shuttle service to certain routes. If you are on a tight budget, and you don't mind staying in a boxlike low-budget accommodation, the Chungking Mansion and Mirador Mansion, two famous buildings in Kowloon's Nathan Road offer some of the cheapest rates in town, both have become a legendary haunt for backpackers and budget travelers. It is still comparably cheaper to stay in a budget hotel in Kowloon accessible to all places than to stay in Tsuen Wan.

Our room overlooking the park view outside
this is how messy I pack
The Hong Kong government decided to develop Tsuen Wan as a new town settlement in the 1960s to relieve the growing population in Hong Kong and Kowloon. Tsuen Wan began as an industrial area consisting of factories, but today has developed into a residential and commercial area similar to Hong Kong Island and Kowloon. I feel very safe in Tsuen Wan, the locals are nice and they seemed more approachable than the busy and classy crowd of TST. A local even helped me drag my heavy suitcase down the MTR stairs 'cos I was obviously looking depleted of strength maybe.

Dining Lounge, trying to get a wifi connection

Prices of McDonald's and KFC just like everything vary from place to place. It is cheaper in Tsuen Wan.

Staying in the hotel made me want to just slouched at the dining lounge and sip free unlimited coffee. The ambiance was really peaceful and I've felt so safe. But still, my goal was to see HK and not to stay comfortably in a hotel.

They serve the same buffet every morning :( Anyways it was still an advantage of having to eat hotel breakfast than eating McDonalds again and again.

Sausage and nuggets

Mini Pancakes
How I love their coffee above all :)

Goodnight :)
