Corus Hotel a walk away from Petronas Twin Tower

Corus Hotel is an affordable four star hotel accessible to major attractions in Kuala Lumpur, where transient travelers and tourists can stay at. In fact, most travelers from Singapore who want to spend holiday in KL recommend this hotel. Kuala Lumpur's attractions, including Suria KLCC and the Petronas Towers, are easily accessible on foot from the Corus Hotel Kuala Lumpur. The hotel is within a 20-minute walk of KLCC Park, the Aquaria KLCC and the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, and within a minute drive you can find the Kuala Lumpur Tower.
There are many express buses from Singapore to KL, we booked ours online and chose First Coach bus company. We departed from Golden Mile complex in SG and the travel time took about 4-5hrs. Before finalizing our tour we planned to wear the same customized t-shirts, and since one of our buddies is an artist, our idea became a success.

We chose a night/sleeper bus and left SG late afternoon thinking we could possibly save Ringgit not having to pay for a night of accommodation. The road to KL is definitely in good condition, so traveling overland by bus is very convenient.

Facade of Corus Hotel with superb architectural design.
Situated in Kuala Lumpur City Centre, the Corus Hotel offers guests a modern base that includes a poolside snack bar, a sauna and a swimming pool. The city centre is only an easy drive from the hotel and the world renowned Petronas Tower is just about 10 minutes walk away from the hotel.
The Corus Hotel Kuala Lumpur boasts a beauty centre, a fitness centre and an executive floor. The hotel employees are available 24-hours a day and can book tours and tickets. We arrived during the wee hours of the night and requested for an early check-in, and were dismayed when the male receptionist informed us that early check-in rate was not possible and they have to charge us the rate equivalent to a night of stay. We were dead tired by then and all we wanted was to sleep, so our parsimony goal was ruined. We got even more dismayed when we learned that the rate for that extra night was higher than our prebooked reservation.

The hotel has a delicious buffet breakfast for an affordable price and it's restaurant serves international cuisine. But we got up late making us unable to try their offer.
One thing I don't like about Corus Hotel is that they don't have free wi-fi inside the guest rooms we had to buy pastries at Corus Cafe to avail their Wi-Fi coupon.

Tequila Sunset @ Spicy Fingers

Ever enlivened with the idea of being surrounded by night bars, cafes, elegantly lighted and decorated restaurants with people and tourists milling around eating the air in a hype but completely safe crowd and place?
Hit Spicy Fingers  Happy Hour for cocktails and draft beer for only P50 from 12 noon until 8 PM.
My choice of drink is TEQUILA SUNSET- a mix of tequila, orange juice, blackberry brandy and cherry. It almost tasted like a strawberry fruit with sugar and a little dose of salt :) It hits the right note for a single shot costing P50. You won't even taste the alcohol in it.
Ofcourse it has other versions of cocktail recipe, like a blend of lemon juice, honey and tequila which is a soothing drink for sore throat.

Spicy Fingers is at Greenbelt 2 beside Bizu and My Thai. A P50 drink (before 8 PM)
